About William Pauley

When you are facing a family law matter, having a dedicated and understanding advocate by your side can make all the difference. I am William “Bill” Pauley, a Senior Associate Attorney with Stange Law Firm, and I am honored to assist clients from our Lexington, Kentucky office. My goal is to guide individuals and families through challenging legal situations with care, professionalism, and respect. I earned my Juris Doctor from the Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University, where I was awarded the Commonwealth Scholarship, covering full tuition. Before that, I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky. With over two decades of diverse legal experience, I bring a broad perspective to my work at Stange Law Firm. Most recently, I served as a Housing Justice Attorney with the Kentucky Equal Justice Center. In that role, I represented tenants in eviction cases under the Uniform Residential Landlord and Tenant Act, advocating for housing stability and working to achieve positive outcomes for clients in difficult situations. Throughout my career, I have held several significant legal and leadership positions across Kentucky. As General Counsel to the Kentucky Senate Democratic Leadership, I reviewed legislation for constitutional compliance and provided legal advice to Senate leadership. I also worked as a Staff Attorney for the Kentucky Department for Local Government, where I advised municipalities on statutory compliance, procurement, and governance. Additionally, I drafted administrative regulations for the state’s $250 million Broadband Deployment Fund and supported the Kentucky Infrastructure Authority with legal matters. Earlier in my career, I served as General Counsel and Compliance Officer for PremierTox, Inc., where I managed HR operations and regulatory compliance during a time of substantial organizational growth.
