About Troy DeMuth

I focus my legal practice on family law, dealing with various cases including divorce, child custody, child abuse and neglect, domestic violence, child support, and adoption. I am an approved family court mediator and serve as a Guardian Ad Litem, where I advocate for children’s interests, and as a Friend of Court, where I provide recommendations to the Courts on issues related to children. Over the years, I have held several leadership roles, including President of the Association of Parent’s Attorneys of Louisville, President of the Guardian Ad Litem’s Association of Louisville, and Chair of the Family Law Section of the Louisville Bar Association. I am a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML) and have also served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Louisville, Louis D. Brandeis School of Law, where I taught law students about Family Law and Mediation skills. Additionally, I have worked as an attorney consultant for the Casey Family Programs foundation on the Judicial Engagement Team, assisting Courts across the country in developing practices in child abuse and neglect cases.
