About Timothy Haggerty

Tim focuses his practice on divorce, alimony, custody, child support, equitable distribution of assets and debts, college contribution, domestic violence and adoption. In addition, he maintains a mediation practice for divorce, custody, support and modification. He has been selected by his peers in the legal community in Super Lawyers Magazine as a “Rising Star”. Tim practices primarily in Superior Court in New Jersey, and is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association where he is a member of the Family Law Section and Dispute Resolution Section. He is a member of the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators. He is also a member of the Burlington County Bar Association, Camden County Bar Association, and Atlantic County Bar Association. Tim obtained his Bachelor’s degree from Lehigh University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and was a Division 1 scholarship athlete. He obtained his Juris Doctorate at Rutgers University School of Law, where he was awarded a Dean’s Merit Scholarship. Following law school in 2004, he served a judicial clerkship for the Honorable Melvin S. Whitken, the Presiding Judge of Family Part, in Union County, New Jersey.
