About Thomas Kemmy

Thomas Kemmy is a personal injury attorney in Texas and New Mexico. Tom built his reputation representing ordinary people and small business owners injured by large corporations and hospitals. He has won large verdicts and settlements in difficult cases involving catastrophic and fatal injuries, medical negligence, oil and gas mineral and royalty disputes, and other business torts. Tom started his practice in 1986 in San Antonio and worked for a premier insurance defense law firm, and in doing so, learned the defense side of the litigation practice. After three and a half years of defense practice, Tom and his wife Ginger and four children moved to Africa for three years to serve as lay missionaries in a remote area in Mongu, Zambia. While in Zambia Tom worked with farmers and villagers supporting their efforts to sustain their families in sometimes harsh environments. Ginger, a registered nurse, worked with women and malnourished children and provided medical and nutritional support. Upon returning from Zambia, Tom opened a one lawyer office in San Antonio, Texas and has been representing people with personal injuries, work-related accidents, medical malpractice, auto accidents, and business-related losses for more than 30 years. He has obtained significant verdicts and settlements for ordinary people who lacked the resources to hold the rich and powerful wrongdoer accountable. In more recent years, the Kemmy Law Firm has expanded with the assistance of five of Tom’s sons and a daughter-in-law; and each are capable lawyers devoted to providing excellent trial work for their clients.
