About Taylor Equi

Taylor has experience litigating cases at the Administrative Hearing; Probate Court; Superior Court; Appellate Court; District Court; and the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals level. She practices in the areas of trusts and estates litigation; elder financial exploitation; defending against nursing home collection actions against you as a power of attorney, conservator, or responsible party of a loved one; construction litigation; employment litigation; land use and zoning disputes; and personal injury/wrongful death. Prior to joining the firm, Taylor worked for a civil defense litigation firm in Stamford focusing her practice on professional malpractice claims; dram shop and liquor law claims; and catastrophic personal injury claims. Taylor also has experience working in Washington D.C. for a non-profit public interest litigation firm that focused its practice on private property; First Amendment; and economic liberty cases at the Federal level throughout the United States. Taylor graduated cum laude in 2012 from Fairfield University, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Theory and Middle Eastern Studies and was inducted into Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society. Taylor received her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2015, where she received the Distinguished Scholar Award. Taylor was also a competitor on the Mock Trial team, and was a finalist in a national civil rights trial competition. Taylor is an avid seminar speaker, presenting on behalf of organizations such as the National Business Institute and the Connecticut Bar Association. Taylor is also an avid writer and has published pieces for the CT NAELA (the Connecticut Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys). She also frequently speaks to the pre-law society at Fairfield University. An interesting tidbit about Taylor โ€“ she graduated high school at 16, college at 19, and law school at 22.
