About Steven Peskind
Steven N. Peskind has reinvented Illinois Family Law. Mr. Peskind believes that a successful divorce results from the intersection of three competencies: legal skill, positive decision making, and financial analysis. As a result, he has compiled a team of highly trained professionals dedicated to helping our clients achieve that success. The lawyers at Peskind Law Firm are skilled negotiators, legal analysts, problem solvers and courtroom advocates. Mr. Peskind is one of only 100 lawyers in the nation elected as a Diplomate to the American College of Family Trial Lawyers, an honor society reflecting accomplishments in Family Law trial advocacy. He also has been invited to serve on the faculty of the Family Law Trial Institute, a week long symposium presented annually by the American Bar Association and the National Institute of Trial Advocacy. The Institute teaches Family Lawyers court room advocacy skills. Making good decisions is fundamental to a successful outcome. That is why, in addition to the legal team, the firm employees a Certified Divorce Coach who helps people effectively transition during the oftentimes tumultuous process of separation and divorce. She helps people set reasonable goals, focus on positive outcomes and work towards a successful result. Because of the complex financial issues inherent in many divorce cases, the firm employs a Certified Public Accountant, who is also a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst. She helps our clients make good financial choices and assists our lawyers in identifying and assessing business interests, income, and other property that need to be allocated in a divorce case. Additionally, Mr. Peskind personally knows and works with many national authorities on business valuation, child custody, and forensic investigations, whom the firm relies on as consultants and expert witnesses.
