Russell Turner is a dedicated attorney whose experience and unwavering commitment to justice define his legal career at Berger and Green. A native of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, Russell has built a reputation for his compassionate approach to law and his determination to help those in need. His academic journey began at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science in 2014. Seeking to deepen his legal knowledge, he obtained a paralegal certificate from Saint Francis University in 2015, which laid the groundwork for his future in the legal profession. Russell went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Duquesne University School of Law in 2019, where he gained valuable hands-on experience. As a law student, he worked with the Civil Rights Clinic, focusing on expungements and pardons—a reflection of his commitment to social justice. In 2018, he was selected for a Summer Fellowship with the Allegheny County Bar Foundation’s Pro Bono Center, further demonstrating his dedication to providing legal services to those who need them most. After being admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar, Russell began his legal career at Very Law PLLC, where he gained experience as a litigator in various practice areas. His passion for advocacy eventually led him to Pittsburgh’s Neighborhood Legal Services in 2021, where he focused on Social Security Disability Law. In this role, he assisted low-income clients in securing SSDI and SSI benefits, helping them navigate the complexities of the system. Beyond his legal practice, Russell remains actively engaged in the professional community. He is a proud member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants Representatives (NOSSCR) and the Allegheny County Bar Association (ACBA), organizations that align with his dedication to client advocacy.
