My practice is devoted to protecting the rights of my people (not clients - people). This includes drafting estate documents that reflect and protect their rights and their wishes; probate and litigation that makes sure their estate is handled in the way they expressed to me; and providing guardianship and conservatorship representation to protect them from abuse. If there is nursing home abuse, I will work to make sure that your family member is compensated and receives the care they deserve. I am on the executive council of the Elder Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association and testify before the Colorado Legislature on the issues of financial abuse of the elderly. There is a wide network of other professionals with whom I work regularly: Financial advisors, Tax advisors, Realtors, Funeral Homes, Care Managers, etc. When I provide referrals to these agencies, I receive no financial advantage of any kind. My mother was in my care until she passed away at the age of 97. I cared for her and I care for my people in the same way, with respect and compassion.
