After getting out the military he started college at the University of Illinois at Chicago and graduated with a degree in English Literature and Political Science. After college he went to graduate school in Purdue and earned an MA in English. After teaching for a few years, Peter joined the national guard and signed up for law school. For the next 3 years Peter focused his studies on criminal law and trial advocacy.
