About Pamela Nichols

I have been a Partner at O’Connell & Aronowitz since 1997, where I work in the Personal Injury Litigation Department. For fifteen years, I had the privilege of serving as the firm’s managing partner. I focus on representing plaintiffs in cases involving personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, automobile collisions, trucking crashes, dangerous products, abused children, and defective medical devices and pharmaceuticals. Some of my recent case results include a $4 million settlement for a pedestrian injured in an automobile collision and a $2.65 million settlement in a pedestrian-construction case. I co-counseled a trial that resulted in an $11 million verdict in a medical malpractice case involving sexually abused children. Additionally, I secured a $1.8 million settlement in a medical malpractice case concerning a physically abused and neglected child, a $6.5 million settlement in a wrongful death trucking collision, and a $1.5 million settlement in a ski injury case. My settlements under the Child Victims Act have exceeded $3 million. Outside of my legal practice, I am passionate about volunteering for causes that promote health and safety. I have led efforts at O’Connell & Aronowitz to bring distracted driving awareness to over 14,000 students in upstate New York. I have also presented the enddd.org program to the NYS Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee and the NYS Partnership for Teen Driving Safety. I currently serve as the Capital Region Affiliate President of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association. I am also an active member of the Leader’s Forum with the American Association for Justice and The Injury Board, a national community of personal injury attorneys dedicated to consumer safety. Since 2012, I have been honored to be included on the Best Lawyers in America list and the Super Lawyers list. I have also received Martindale-Hubbell’s AV Preeminent Rating, the highest level of recognition from my peers.
