About Nolia Batey
I am an attorney partner at a firm serving Louisville, KY. I am foremost a trial attorney and I concentrate my practice in the areas of personal injury, high asset divorces, and business disputes. I also represent numerous small businesses (for profit and non-profit) as outside general counsel. I care deeply about the status of animal law in Kentucky and am the Immediate Past Chair of the Animal Law Section of the Kentucky Bar Association. I am also an active member of the Kentucky Justice Association, the American, Kentucky, and Louisville Bar Associations. I received an LL.M in Animal Law from Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College; a J.D. from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law; and a BA from Western Kentucky University. During law school I worked for Churchill Downs, Inc. in their legal/compliance department and for the U.S. Internal Revenue Service Small Business/Self-Employed Division. When I'm not lawyering, I'm playing pickleball or in my backyard vegetable garden with my three rescue dogs and rescue cat.
