About Nisan Zaghi

I am an Associate Attorney at Consumer Attorneys PLLC, where I focus on helping consumers address credit-reporting errors, unfair debt-collection practices, and background-check inaccuracies under laws like the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Before joining the firm, I honed my litigation skills at a boutique patent-litigation practice and later represented individuals in consumer-protection cases, which allowed me to develop both technical understanding and a client-centered approach. I am driven by the belief that businesses should be held responsible when they take shortcuts or deceive everyday people. Helping restore a client’s reputation—and often their livelihood—brings me genuine fulfillment. I prioritize maintaining open communication with my clients by staying available, promptly answering their questions, and ensuring they are fully informed throughout their case. I earned my J.D. from Fordham University School of Law on a substantial scholarship and hold a B.S. in Biology from Brooklyn College, where my research-intensive studies sharpened the analytical skills I apply to complex credit-report disputes. I am admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey state courts, as well as in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, which enables me to litigate consumer-protection claims throughout the Northeast. As an active member of the New York State Bar Association, I stay up to date on changes in consumer law and collaborate with other advocates across the state. When I’m not working, I enjoy hiking, swimming, and spending quality time with my wife and children, activities that keep me grounded and ready to take on my clients’ challenges.
