About Nick Clifford

As a criminal and immigration attorney in Raleigh, NC, Nick Clifford helps his clients through some of the most difficult times in their lives. He founded his law firm, the Clifford Law Group, on the foundation of compassion, integrity, and truly understanding the goals of clients. Nick is licensed to practice law in both North Carolina and Florida. He received his juris doctor from Florida State University College of Law, and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from North Carolina State University. He practiced criminal defense in Florida's public defender's office before co-founding the Clifford Law Group, alongside his wife, attorney Veronica Bayo Clifford. The law firm represents clients against facing criminal charges, immigration matters, and professional licensing hearings. As a criminal defense lawyer, Nick takes on challenging cases involving drug charges, DUI, violent crimes, and other offenses. He knows that his clients are potentially facing jail time, fines, and permanent marks on their records, so he aggressively fights to defend their rights during the legal process. He makes it a priority to help each client understand their rights and the potential implications of each of their defense options. Immigration issues also have a huge impact on the lives of each client, and Nick doesn't take that responsibility lightly. When addressing matters concerning international students, green cards, or those seeking asylum, Nick dedicates all of his resources to ensuring a stress-free process for his clients. Nick continues to increase his knowledge by actively participating in several organizations, including the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Legal Committee of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML). When not in the office, Nick also volunteers with local organization WakeUP Wake County, which actively supports community growth.
