Mike was admitted to practice law in Indiana in May of 2018, and began his practice at a rural the law firm of Mullin, McMillin & McMillin, LLP in Brookville, Indiana. There, Mike argued countless suppression hearings, fact-finding hearings, and various other court and evidentiary hearings; and earned dismissals through negotiations and suppressions. In addition, Mike developed trial experience and earned not guilty verdicts and dismissals by taking his clientsβ cases to jury trials. In 2024, Mike joined the Criminal Defense Team - Baldwin, Perry & Wiley, P.C. Since joining the firm, Mike has tried several jury trials and has continued his success inside and outside of the courtroom. Besides advocacy at the trial court level, Mike has also handled more than two dozen appeals and he has argued multiple times before the Indiana Court of Appeals and the Indiana Supreme Court. Mike is a former chair of the Indiana Bar Association's Criminal Justice Section and a board member of the Indiana Public Defender Council. Mike has also been recognized by Superlawyers as a Rising Start in the field of Criminal Law since 2023. And, in 2025, the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law recognized Mike with the Early Career Achievement Award.
