About Michael Head

I work on Paganelli Law Group's Business/Corporate team, focusing on business transactions (from standard contracts to mergers and acquisitions), as well as company structuring, dispute resolution, real estate, and providing outside general counsel services. I handle a variety of business and corporate law matters, serving as both legal counsel and a strategic advisor to small and midsize privately held companies and their owners. I also work closely with the firm's litigators as I have a background in litigation with past successes in various state courts as well as the Indiana Court of Appeals and Indiana Supreme Court. For almost nine years, I served as in-house general counsel and held business executive roles, including chief operating officer, for growing companies in the technology and manufacturing sectors. My experience in helping to run and grow businesses has given me a deeper understanding of the challenges business owners face and allows me to communicate effectively with them. I appreciate their needs and concerns when dealing with employees, customers, suppliers, distributors, and other stakeholders. I have been a frequent lecturer at continuing legal education (CLE) and business seminars and was recognized as a Rising Star by Indiana Super Lawyers from 2014 to 2017. I earned my bachelor's degree in Public Affairs, with honors, from Indiana University - Indianapolis and graduated cum laude from Indiana University's McKinney School of Law with a concentration in Health Law. I am a lifelong Hoosier, having grown up in Kokomo before moving to Indianapolis, where I now live. I split my workweek between Indianapolis and Bloomington. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking and biking with my wife and two young sons and chasing our two rescue huskies.
