About Marshall Henslee

I am a partner at Silverman Thompson with over 25 years of experience as a litigator handling complex criminal defense cases in both state and federal courts. I previously spent seven years as the managing partner of Henslee & Gordon LLC and 14 years as a solo practitioner. Earlier in my career, I worked as an associate at a law firm in Louisiana, where I practiced civil and criminal litigation. I am committed to defending my clients with integrity, intellect, and understanding. My practice covers a wide range of criminal cases, including DUIs, drug offenses, crimes of violence, white-collar crimes, sex offenses, homicides, and federal conspiracy cases. I have represented clients from diverse backgrounds, such as athletes, politicians, attorneys, doctors, veterinarians, finance executives, truck drivers, teachers, civil servants, and business owners. Frequently, other attorneys invite me to join as co-counsel to contribute my experience and insight. Since 2021, I have been recognized as a Super Lawyer, an honor awarded to the top five percent of attorneys in the state. Additionally, I have been named a Top Attorney in Maryland by Baltimore Magazine. I am a member of the Maryland Criminal Defense Attorneys’ Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the National College for DUI Defense. My work has been featured in publications like The Baltimore Sun, The Baltimore Banner, The Washington Post, and The New York Times, and I have appeared on various news programs. I also enjoy sharing my knowledge through teaching and public speaking. I am a regular guest lecturer in criminal justice classes at Towson University and have taught law courses at Goucher College and Baltimore County Community College. Additionally, I have conducted symposiums at local high schools on topics such as policing and citizens’ rights. As a Louisiana native, I remain a loyal fan of the Saints and Tigers, though I’ve also grown to love the Ravens and Orioles.
