About Maria Germanetti

I am an immigration attorney at Lehigh Valley Immigration Law LLC, where my work is dedicated to keeping families together and defending clients facing deportation and removal proceedings. I represent individuals in matters such as bond hearings, cancellation of removal, asylum, withholding of removal, CAT protection, adjustment of status, and family-based and humanitarian cases. I have successfully secured bond for detained clients, successfully litigated cancellation of removal trials, and pursued motions and appeals to help clients remain in the United States. Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed and uncertain. I focus on listening to their concerns, explaining the legal process in clear terms, and building thorough, well-documented cases. My approach emphasizes compassionate guidance alongside careful preparation for individual hearings, master calendar hearings, and USCIS interviews. Before turning my attention to immigration law, I worked on cases involving contract disputes, debtor–creditor matters, employment discrimination, torts, constitutional issues, and immigration-related litigation. This experience has given me a strong understanding of how criminal, civil, and immigration issues intersect, which helps me develop strategies for complex removal cases. I began my courtroom experience as a Certified Legal Intern in the Courts of Common Pleas in Cumberland and Northampton Counties and in the Appellate Division of the Cumberland County District Attorney’s Office. Additionally, I currently serve as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) in Lehigh County, advocating for children in the foster care system. I earned my J.D. from Penn State Dickinson Law, where I was an Associate Editor of the Dickinson Law Review. I graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. and am currently completing my M.A. in Criminal Justice at DeSales University with a focus on digital and mobile forensics.
