📞 (732) 441-9546I am certified by the N.J. Supreme Court as a criminal trial attorney. Since 2005, I have been consistently named a Super Lawyer by N.J. Monthly and was also recognized in 2005 as one of the top 50 female lawyers by the same publication. The Association of Trial Lawyers of America has acknowledged me as one of the top 100 trial lawyers in New Jersey. My legal education was completed at Seton Hall Law School, where I worked as a law clerk for the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office during my studies. This experience has been crucial in my career, allowing me to understand both perspectives of the criminal justice system. My professional journey began as a law clerk to the Honorable Thomas F. Shebell, Jr., the Assignment Judge for Monmouth County at the time. Following my judicial clerkship, I embarked on my career as a trial attorney with the Essex County Public Defender’s Office in Newark, New Jersey. Starting strong, I secured victories in my first nine cases consecutively. Throughout my time there, I handled numerous cases, including ten homicides, successfully defending eight. Over the years, I have tried more than 200 cases, achieving victories in the majority of them. A significant highlight of my career occurred in 1985 when I was retained to represent one of 21 defendants in the longest federal trial in New Jersey’s history – U.S. v. Accetturo. After a grueling two-year trial, all defendants were acquitted. This landmark victory was featured in Robert Rudolph’s book, "The Boys From New Jersey (How the Mob Beat the Feds)" and the movie, “Find Me Guilty.” In addition to federal cases, I also represent clients at the state and municipal levels, consistently achieving favorable outcomes for my clients across all court levels. Whether in Federal Court, State Superior Court, or Municipal Court, I leverage my strong legal abilities and trial skills to secure the best possible outcomes, always treating my clients with dignity and respect.
