About Margaret Szymansky

For the past 29 years, I have provided experienced representation to clients in Probate, including contested probate and Estate Planning /Trust Administration proceedings. I assist clients in effectively resolving existing claims and transferring assets. I guide executors, trustees, and personal representatives of the estate, helping them achieve successful closure of the estate. My practice further focuses on Estate Planning, including Wills and Trusts, Special Needs Planning for disabled individuals, guardianship proceedings, Elder Law with an emphasis on Medicaid issues, and Real Estate law. My dedication, leadership, and excellence in legal service have earned me recognition as a distinguished Cambridge member of WHO’s WHO among professionals. I have conducted numerous seminars for the public and financial institutions on estate planning and elder law issues. I also serve in an advisory capacity for non-profit organizations and dedicate many hours to providing pro bono legal services for them. Additionally, I am an active member of the American Bar Association in the Trust and Estate Law Section and have served on various committees at the Chicago and Illinois State Bar Associations.
