About Laurie Rubinow

Laurie Rubinow is a Partner in the Chester office of Miller Shah LLP. Laurie earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley, where she graduated summa cum laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She completed additional undergraduate studies at McGill University before earning her law degree from Temple University School of Law. During law school, she interned with the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the Public Defender’s Office, the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office, and United States Magistrate Judge Powers. She also holds a Certificate in Negotiation, Mediation, and Conflict Resolution from Seton Hall University School of Law. Laurie’s legal career includes work in private practice—both as an associate and as a solo practitioner—followed by more than a decade as in-house counsel at a nationally recognized insurance company, ultimately serving as National Manager. In that role, she oversaw five regional field offices responsible for defending complex insurance litigation, including toxic tort and environmental matters. She has also served as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Sociology at Central Connecticut State University. Since joining Miller Shah’s Connecticut office in 2005, Laurie has represented clients in antitrust, consumer protection, securities, and insurance litigation, and played an active role in the State of Connecticut’s litigation against multiple pharmaceutical manufacturers. She is a member of the Chester Bar Association and the Connecticut Bar Association, has held elected office on her local school board, and remains engaged in community affairs. Laurie’s practice focuses on whistleblower, antitrust, consumer, complex commercial, and insurance litigation, and she also has substantial experience in employment, intellectual property, and real estate matters. She is committed to pro bono service and has represented numerous clients in federal and state proceedings.
