She has strong leadership roles as the 2023 Co-Chair of the Women in the Profession Committee, 2022 Chair and 2021 Vice Chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association's Board of Governors, the 2020-2022 Co-Chair of the Solo and Small Firm Committee of the Philadelphia Bar Association, and the 2019 Chair of the Family Law Section (FLS). She is also a member of the FLS Executive Committee, Co-Chair of the FLS Custody and Diversity Committees, and a founding member of the Diversity Inclusion Scholarship Committee. She often plans and presents CLE and informational programs. Ms. Calalang was a past President of the Villanova Minority Alumni Society (MAS) Leadership Board and is a Board Advisor on the Villanova Law Alumni Association (VLAA) Board, MAS Board, and the Villanova Law Women's Network. She has served on the Young Lawyer Editorial Board for The Legal Intelligencer and is a member of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Pennsylvania (APABA-PA), the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association. She was also the 2020 Co-Chair of the Lunar Banquet for APABA-PA. Additionally, Ms. Calalang is a mediator and serves as a certified arbitrator for Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas. Ms. Calalang has also been recognized and awarded for her legal work and leadership. In 2022, she received the Diversity Initiative award from the Legal Intelligencer. In 2021, she received the Weiman, Sr. and Jr, family law award. In 2019, she received the VLAA Gerald Abraham Award for Service from Villanova Law and was named as Philadelphia Bar Association Bar Star. She was named as a Rising Star in Super Lawyer: Rising Stars Editions 2010, 2011, 2013, and 2014 and a Super Lawyer from 2020-2023. Ms. Calalang was also named as 2008 Lawyer on the Fast Track and was on the First Judicial District's Pro Bono Rolls of Honor from 2006 -2010.
