About Katie Sass

I am currently an associate at Kemnitzer, Barron & Krieg, LLP, where my practice is centered around consumer financing, unfair debt collections practices, and addressing issues related to solar panel fraud. Before my current role, I served as a Senior Attorney in the Consumer Rights Unit at Bay Area Legal Aid. My career also includes time as a Litigation Attorney at the Eviction Defense Collaborative in San Francisco and as an associate attorney at Crowell & Moring, focusing on antitrust and commercial litigation. I completed my undergraduate studies with honors at the University of California, Los Angeles in 2013 and went on to earn my law degree from Harvard Law School in 2018. During my time at law school, I engaged in several internships, including positions with the Federal Trade Commission, Project on Predatory Student Lending, California Attorney General Consumer Law Section, and the Los Angeles City Attorney. Additionally, I was an Article Editor for the Harvard Journal of Law and Gender and served as the Student Director of the Access to Justice Lab’s Financial Distress Research Project.
