About Joseph Rivet

Joe Rivet is the owner and founder of Rivet Health Law. He is a licensed attorney in Arizona, Idaho, U.S. District Court District of Columbia, and Michigan. Joe is also an arbitrator through AHLA. He practices health law with a focus on transactional matters, compliance, reimbursement, contracts, third-party payor audits, and appeals. Prior to becoming an attorney, Joe started his career in coding. He has written 3 books on E/M auditing, published many articles, and frequently speaks on healthcare reimbursement topics. He has co-authored a handbook on the No Surprises Act published by the American Bar Association, has been named a Leaders in Law Class of 2024 and 2025 recipient in Michigan, and has been recognized as a Top Lawyer and Best Lawyers by his peers.
