About Joseph Lasher

I am a dedicated personal injury attorney at Gair, Gair, Conason, Rubinowitz, Bloom, Hershenhorn, Steigman & Mackauf. My focus is on representing individuals who have suffered catastrophic injuries. My practice areas include medical malpractice, motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, labor law violations, construction site injuries, product liability claims, and wrongful death actions. I am actively involved in all phases of litigation, from the initial investigation through trial and resolution, ensuring that each client receives comprehensive legal representation. My commitment to justice is evident in my meticulous approach to each case, aiming to secure full and fair compensation for my clients' losses. I earned my Juris Doctor from Duke University School of Law, where I was honored as a Robert D. and Susan G. Phillips Scholar. During my time at Duke, I served as Editor-in-Chief of the Duke Environmental Law & Policy Forum and as a Lead Editor for the Duke Journal of Comparative & International Law. I also volunteered with the Duke Law School Health Justice Clinic, successfully representing clients in appeals of public benefit denials, including Social Security Disability and Medicaid benefits. Before joining the firm, I spent seven years as a corporate litigator at a large international law firm, representing major corporations in complex legal matters. Driven by a desire to advocate for individuals, I transitioned to personal injury and medical malpractice law, where I could directly assist those most in need of justice. I have been recognized as a Super Lawyers New York Metro Rising Star for five consecutive years (2020-2024). I am also an active member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association.
