About Joseph Dodson

When you’re dealing with a family law matter, it’s important to have an attorney who approaches your case with integrity and precision. I’m Joseph Dodson, a Junior Associate Attorney at Stange Law Firm, working out of our Lincoln, Nebraska office. I’m dedicated to helping clients navigate legal challenges with clarity and care, especially during life’s most challenging transitions. I earned my Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska College of Law in May 2025. During law school, I had the opportunity to participate in a summer study abroad program at Downing College, Cambridge University. I was also actively involved in student organizations, including the Student Bar Association, St. Thomas More Society, and the Federalist Society. Before joining Stange Law Firm, I gained valuable experience in a variety of legal settings. As a Student Attorney in the First Amendment Clinic at Nebraska Law, I worked on litigation tasks such as discovery, motion practice, and client counseling. I also served as an Administrative Hearing Officer with the Nebraska Department of Labor, where I managed a high volume of unemployment appeals, issued formal decisions, and ensured compliance with regulations. Earlier in my career, I drafted legislation and updated legal reference materials as a Legal Aide, assisted with operations at a private law firm, and worked as a Legislative Intern, where I attended hearings and prepared reports for lobbying clients. I’ve also been involved in political campaigns and held customer-facing roles. I’m certified in mediation in Nebraska and was senior certified to practice before both the Nebraska Supreme Court and the U.S. District Court for the District of Nebraska during law school. I bring a broad legal background, a commitment to service, and strong communication skills to my work, striving to be a compassionate and capable advocate for my clients.
