About John Sr.

I grew up in Waterloo, Iowa. I graduated from West High School in 1968. I obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa. I obtained my Juris Doctorate from Hamlin Law School in St. Paul, Minnesota. I practiced law in Waterloo, Iowa with my father Jack W. Pieters until his death in 1987. I currently practice law with my son, John S. Pieters, Jr. We have offices in Jesup, Iowa and in Waterloo, Iowa. Our practice includes an emphasis in workers' compensation cases. My father started representing workers' compensation clients in 1953 so as a firm we have been at this for 75 years.
