About John Miller

I’m a lifelong resident of York County and have been practicing law in south central Pennsylvania for over 40 years. My practice focuses on business and real estate matters, where I work with small and medium-sized businesses, family farms, and real estate developers on a wide range of issues. As a licensed title insurance agent, I have significant experience drafting and negotiating real estate documents and assisting clients in securing financing for property acquisitions. I’ve guided clients through the acquisition and development of agricultural, industrial, and residential properties, including transactions involving tax-free like-kind exchanges. I’ve also helped clients obtain various types of financing, such as lines of credit, mortgages, asset-backed financings, and revolving credit facilities. Additionally, I’ve represented clients in state court litigation involving complex real estate and commercial disputes. I also provide counsel on business formation, estate planning, and wealth transfer, advising clients at every stage of their business journey—from selecting the right entity and securing capitalization to planning for business succession. Over the years, I’ve developed a deep understanding of multi-generational estate planning, particularly for agribusiness clients. In my municipal law practice, I serve as solicitor for Springfield Township, East Hopewell Township, and the Dover Borough Zoning Hearing Board in York County. This role has allowed me to develop a strong understanding of municipal and land use law. I frequently represent businesses and developers before various local and state administrative agencies.
