📞 (703) 791-9087I’m John-David (“JD”) Coker, an associate attorney at Dunn, Craig & Francuzenko. Before joining the firm, I worked at Stern & Eisenberg, and my practice focuses on constitutional rights, civil rights, business, and commercial law. I’m licensed to practice law in Virginia, the District of Columbia, and Maryland. I’m also a member of the Virginia Bar Association, Fairfax Bar Association, Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, and the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys. Most of my appearances are in the Circuit Courts and General District Courts of Northern Virginia. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Maryland Global Campus while living in the United Kingdom, where I was honored to be admitted to the Dean’s list for academic excellence. I received my Juris Doctor from the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law. During my time there, I participated in The Innocence Project and Clemency Clinic, and I interned at the Securities and Exchange Commission as well as the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office in Maryland. I’m originally from Savannah, Georgia, but I lived in Northern Virginia many years ago, just a few miles from where my wife, Carin, lived at the time—though we didn’t meet until many years later. Now, I live on a small farm with Carin, our daughter Savannah, and our two dogs: Rosie, a golden retriever, and Chip, a miniature Dachshund.
