About Joanna Pezet

Attorney Joanna Pezet is passionate about immigrants' rights and helping clients navigate the complex immigration process. She has dedicated most of her career to immigration law. She has been working in immigration law field since 2005, first as an Immigration Legal Assistant, then since 2010 as an Immigration Attorney. Joanna specializes in business immigration, such as work visas, investor visas, green cards through employment. She represents clients in connection with family-based visas, such as fiancee visas, adjustment of status, or consular processing, as well. Joanna earned her LL.M. in 2009 from New York University School of Law, her Master Degree in Law, in 2002 from University in Bialystok, Poland, and her Master Degree in International Relations, in 2003 from Warsaw University, Poland. She has been admitted to the bar in the State of New York since 2010. Being an immigrant herself, Joanna is driven to provide the best and compassionate counsel in a patient and approachable way. She can relate to the feelings of anticipation, excitement, and sometimes frustration, of going through the immigration process. Joanna speaks English, Polish, French, and some German and Russian. In her free time, she loves to spend time outside: hiking, kayaking, biking, camping, gardening. She also enjoys reading historical fiction books.
