📞 (651) 337-8804I love what I do! My entire professional career has focused on death, dying, and preplanning. It is not as macabre as you may think! I find peace in helping my clients and their family prepare for the "inevitable"? (death and taxes), and make life's transitions easier. I help clients navigate estate planning, as they focus on asset growth, to long-term care planning, where the focus shifts to asset preservation and care. After a death occurs, I help resolve contested Will or Trust issues (litigation), counsel on Medical Assistance claims, and guide families through the probate process. I love facing the challenges that arise while representing clients. As an ENTP (Myers-Briggs typology), I am a logical problem-solver and enthusiastic communicator. My areas of practice include: estate planning; elder law (long-term care planning, asset protection, and government benefits); estate administration (probate law); trust administration; litigation; and mortuary law. Elder Law consists of a variety of matters, such as: •Wills and trusts •Estate planning •Incapacity Planning: durable powers of attorney and health care directives •Long-term care planning •Guardianship and conservatorship •Medicare, Medical Assistance, Social Security, Veterans Benefits, & other public benefits •Supplemental and Special Needs Trusts •Probate and trust administration As a licensed mortician I am knowledgeable about mortuary/funeral service law and available for consult. I am a volunteer for the Wills for Heroes program through the Minnesota State Bar Association, the MN Assistance Council for Veterans (MAC-V) legal clinics, and participate in the Minnesota Elder Justice Project. I am also a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA). I do regular presentations on long-term care planning, estate planning, and preplanning for death.
