About Jeffrey Raphaelson

I represent plaintiffs in cases involving fraud and bad faith in business, medical malpractice, and wrongful death. Since 2013, I have been consistently named to the Super Lawyers List, an honor reserved for the top 5% of attorneys in Massachusetts as recognized by a peer review process for professional achievement. I hold an AV preeminent rating from Martindale Hubbard, which is the highest rating awarded by peers for ethical standards and legal ability, and is bestowed upon less than 5% of attorneys across the United States. I was also named Massachusetts Lawyer of the Year by the independent editorial board of Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly for my work on a groundbreaking case that expanded the apparent manufacturer doctrine in Massachusetts to include a trademark licensor significantly involved in the design, manufacture, or distribution of a licensee’s defective product. Additionally, I am a recipient of the G. Joseph Tauro Distinguished Scholar Award from Boston University School of Law. I have served as a panelist or presenter on trial advocacy for the Boston Bar Association and Worcester County Bar Association. My legal career began in the litigation department of a large Boston law firm, where I worked for four years before starting a private practice with a colleague. For over 25 years, I have been a litigator and trial attorney serving the greater Worcester and Boston/Cambridge communities. Among my notable jury trial results are an $8.9 million final judgment against Otis Elevator Company for injuries a young Worcester boy sustained on a defective escalator in China, and a $4.5 million judgment against Wachusett Mountain Ski Area for its negligent operation. My practice is primarily focused on three areas where I have gained substantial experience: fraud and bad faith in business; medical malpractice; and wrongful death.
