Mr. Mullinax provides estate planning, trust and estate administration services to South Carolina. He began his involvement in estate matters in 1989 and opened the Law Office of Jay A. Mullinax, LLC in 2004 after practicing law at a larger firm for several years. He serves on the South Carolina Bar Probate Code Revision Subcommittee. The Subcommittee gives recommendations for revising the Probate Code, which provides the laws for estates, trusts, wills, guardians and fiduciaries in South Carolina. The current South Carolina Probate Code cites precedent-setting case law established by a case in which Mr. Mullinax served as co-counsel.
