About Jason Goldsmith

As a first-generation lawyer and U.S. Army vet (enlisted), I bring perseverance and a problem-solver’s mindset to every matter. I avoid legal jargon, and I intentionally limit my caseload so each client gets my full attention—not just a file number. I started in corporate litigation after being recruited out of law school by LeClairRyan. In 2019, my practice group left LeClair to open the Richmond office of Miles & Stockbridge, where our clients ranged from national retailers to sole proprietors. I worked on complex, high-stakes litigation and handled dozens of commercial cases from the early stages through resolution. I launched my own practice in 2023 to focus on small businesses, startups, and the people who run them. I also represent individual consumers on a case-by-case basis. I hold a B.A. from Virginia Commonwealth University and a J.D. from Richmond Law. I’m admitted to practice in Virginia’s state and federal district courts. When I’m not lawyering, you can usually find me playing guitar or strolling Church Hill with my wife and our mutant French–Pitbull, Hambone.
