Raised in Greenville SC. James H. Price IV was born and raised in Greenville, SC. After high school, he earned his Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of South Carolina where he was a member of a national honors fraternity. James later earned his law degree from Charleston School of Law in 2011. After graduation for law school and passing the South Carolina Bar exam, James took a public job as an Assistant Solicitor with the 13th Circuit Solicitor’s Office in Greenville County SC. This position gave him unique insight into the criminal justice system. He learned to manage hundreds of cases from initiation to conclusion, with many cases going to a jury trial. In his five years as an assistant solicitor, and was able to get far more courtroom and trial experience than he would have amassed if in private law practice. He prosecuted dozens of different types of misdemeanor and felony cases, which honed his courtroom skills. However, his objective was to move into private practice with his father & sister at Price Law Firm, P.A. This occurred in 2016. James is a member of the Greenville County Bar Association, the South Carolina Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the Greenville Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
