๐ (410) 385-2225I am Jackelyn โNikyโ Wooding, a Texas and Maryland-licensed attorney with a B.A. in Political Science and Business Administration from Prairie View A&M University. Before pursuing a legal career, I spent several years working in finance and strategic partnerships for several Fortune 100 corporations and non-profits. Later, I attended North Carolina Central University School of Law, where I focused my studies Business and on Intellectual Property (IP) law. During my time there, I was a member of the moot court, served as President of the IP Law Society, and interned at the United States Patent and Trademark Office. After being admitted to the Maryland Bar, I worked as an examiner at the United States Copyright Office and as Technology and Commercial Contracts Legal Counsel at eBay Inc. I am also a Certified Information Privacy Professional, as designated by the IAPP, and Artificial Intelligence Governance advocate. I eventually founded The Wooding Firm to offer accessible legal counsel and representation in the areas of IP law, Technology law, and Business law. In addition to my legal practice, I am a certified mediator. My mediation journey began in law school, where I facilitated dispute resolution in civil, family law, criminal, and truancy cases. After graduating, I became a mediator at the Maryland Office of the Attorney General, helping resolve disputes between local consumers and business owners. Today, I teach intellectual property and technology law through workshops and panels, and I dedicate my time to volunteering with various legal and community-based organizations.
