That experience strengthened his desire to help families plan ahead with clarity and intention, so loved ones are spared unnecessary stress, confusion, and conflict. Greg approaches estate planning as an act of love that brings peace of mind today and harmony for the future. Greg earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law in 2010. During law school, he externed for the Honorable Judge Denise Lindberg at the Third District Court in Salt Lake City and interned with Utah Legal Services in the real estate division. He is licensed to practice law in Utah, is a member of the Utah State Bar Estate Planning Section, and has served on the board of the Elder Law Section. Before founding Independence Law Firm in 2017, Greg practiced as an associate attorney with law firms in Salt Lake, Summit, and Utah counties. His practice includes estate planning, probate, business planning, and contract drafting. He is a frequent speaker at professional trainings and community workshops and has appeared on podcasts discussing estate planning and proactive legal planning. Greg is fluent in Spanish. Originally from Portland, Oregon, Greg was raised in Walnut Creek, California, and Park City, Utah. He graduated cum laude from Brigham Young University with a bachelorβs degree in Communications. Outside of work, Greg enjoys spending time with his wife, Courtney, and their four children, along with sports, church service, and community involvement.
