About George Reilly

I am a client-centered matrimonial attorney. Every client and every case bring different characteristics and issues to bear on the matter. There can be no "cookie cutter" to resolve the case. My clients benefit from more than thirty years of experience in the family law arena. I have successfully resolved cases involving high net worth and modest net worth couples; they have involved abusive relationship between the parties, and abuse of children and controlled substances; they have involved opposing parties engaging in vindictive behavior and attempting to achieve irrational goals. I have worked with a wide array of fellow matrimonial attorneys who are a critical factor in whether a matter can come to a prompt and reasonable conclusion or not. I have engaged in collaborative divorce practice, and I encourage clients to consider Collaborative if the parties are prepared to be open-minded and forthcoming. In every case, I listen to the goals of my client and help set reasonable expectations based upon my experience. In this way, my practice has been client-centered and successful for my clients. I have been designated a "Super Lawyer" over the past ten years; I have been included in "Best Lawyers in America" for 2019; I have been rated 9.5 by Avvo; I have been named to receive a Life Achievement award by Marquis' Who's Who in 2018; I was awarded the Pro Bono Award by the Connecticut Bar Association. I am a graduate of Union College, Schenectady, NY and Fordham University School of Law. I believe in giving back to my community. I was a trustee of King Low Heywood Thomas School in Stamford, CT and president of the board for seven years. I have served on the boards of local non-profit organizations including Kiwanis, United Way, Family Centers of Greenwich, and currently the Norwalk Community College Foundation.
