About Evan Guthrie

Attorney Evan Guthrie is a lawyer and owner of Evan Guthrie Law Firm. Evan graduated from the College of Charleston in Charleston, SC with a bachelors degree in Political Science the University of South Carolina School of Law in Columbia, SC and was named to Dean’s List. Evan Guthrie is currently a member of the Dorchester 2 School Board in Dorchester County, SC after being elected by voters in November 2016 and re-elected in 2020. Evan has served as the Chair for the South Carolina Bar Young Lawyers Division Habitat For Humanity Wills Clinic Committee and the Co-Chair for SC Bar YLD Color of Justice Committee. Attorney Guthrie has been named Star of the Quarter seven times by the Young Lawyers division of the South Carolina Bar. Evan is a graduate of the South Carolina Bar Leadership Academy. Evan Guthrie has also been awarded a Pro Bono Publico Attorney Volunteer Certificate Of Appreciation by the South Carolina Bar. Evan has spoken to lawyers at American Bar Association events including the ABA Law Student Division Regional Fall Leadership Summit For Circuits 4-5-6-10, ABA Tort Trial And Insurance Practice Section and ABA Solo, Small Firm, And General Practice Section Spring Leadership Meeting, and the ABA Young Lawyers Division Fall Conference. Mr. Guthrie has also been published in an American Bar Association publication. Attorney Guthrie has served as the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division, Elder Law Committee Vice Chair and as a member of the ABA General Practice, Solo and Small Firm Division, Estate Planning, Probate & Trust Committee.
