About Erica Upcott

I’m an attorney at Vahdat Weisman Law, where I focus my practice on personal injury and insurance litigation. Before joining the firm, I represented insurance companies in civil defense actions, including first-party no-fault disputes, third-party negligence claims, coverage disputes, and fraud investigations. This experience helps me anticipate defense strategies and use that insight to work toward the best possible outcomes for my clients. Beyond my defense-side work, I’ve also handled plaintiff-sided litigation, represented creditors in collection matters, and advocated for private health insurance companies in subrogation disputes. These opportunities have given me a broad understanding of litigation from different perspectives, which I now apply to advancing the interests of injured individuals and families. My passion for practicing law comes from my love of research and writing. I take pride in crafting strong legal arguments and helping clients navigate complex legal challenges with clarity and determination. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, camping, and playing with my dogs.
