He is also a Past President of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association. He was been a Course Director for the TCDLA Rusty Duncan Course and the State Bar of Texas Advanced Criminal Law Course..
