About Dustin Harvey

Dustin Harvey is an Associate Attorney at The Bagley Law Firm, where he concentrates his practice on family law, criminal defense, and general civil litigation. He earned his undergraduate degree from Colorado State University and subsequently obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Wyoming College of Law. Dustin previously served as a Deputy Public Defender with the Colorado State Public Defender’s Office in the 13th Judicial District, representing clients in Morgan and Washington Counties. During his tenure, he advocated on behalf of indigent individuals, honing a client-centered approach that continues to define his legal practice. His commitment to prioritizing clients' best interests remains a cornerstone of his professional philosophy. When Dustin began his private practice, he decided to work with clients facing challenges related to family law. He often deals with complex legal matters, regularly managing tasks like negotiating and preparing documents such as parenting plans, separation agreements, and contempt citations. Although his current focus lies in family law and criminal defense, Dustin also has experience working on class action litigation. In that capacity, he developed strong analytical and organizational skills by gathering and managing data across multi-firm databases, contributing to the successful negotiation and litigation of high-volume, high-stakes cases. Outside of his legal practice, Dustin enjoys engaging in outdoor pursuits typical of his home state of Colorado, including hiking, running, and target shooting. When pressed, he’ll readily admit that he loves his two cats who, it is rumored, love him back.
