About Douglas Gierhart

I was born and raised in Shawnee, OK and graduated from Shawnee High School in 1974. I then attended the University of Oklahoma, graduating with a B.A. in Letters in 1978. I then attended Oklahoma City University graduating in 1981 with my Juris Doctor. I am married to Susan Kay Gierhart and have 6 children. I am a general sole practitioner. I have been living in Choctaw, OK since 2005 and serving Oklahoma, Cleveland, Pottawatomie and Lincoln Counties regularly. However, I practice throughout the state of Oklahoma wherever my clients' needs require. I enjoy the areas of Bankruptcy, Estate Planning, Guardianship, Probate, and Social Security Disability! I am constantly involved in the practice of Family Law handling Divorces, Modifications of Custody, Child Support, and many Paternity cases. I have 41 years of experience and because of my wide areas of experience I am able to advise my clients regarding the interactions between the different areas of law.
