About Devin Ledom

I'm a seasoned trial attorney with over 25 years of litigation experience. Before joining the Overland Park, Kansas divorce lawyers at Stange Law Firm, PC, I spent the previous 15 years as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Jackson County, MO. During my tenure there, I was part of the Domestic Violence/Special Victims Unit, where I worked diligently to prosecute domestic violence crimes, DWI, drug offenses, violent crimes, homicides, child and adult sex crimes. I was also responsible for handling all special actions, including probation violation hearings. Earlier in my career, I was assigned to the Family Support Unit, working in the criminal child support enforcement division. My responsibilities included reviewing referrals for legal action from the Division of Family Services and determining the feasibility of legal proceedings. I filed and prosecuted civil contempt actions and criminal charges when necessary, while also maintaining and monitoring a probation caseload. This role required me to file and prosecute probation violations for defendants who were failing to meet the probation support amount ordered. Prior to that, I spent 7 years as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Camden County, MO, where I served as the Project Director for the Camden County Prosecuting Attorney Domestic Crimes Unit. This position, funded by a federal grant through the Violence Against Women’s Act and overseen by the Missouri Department of Public Safety, involved maintaining and overseeing grant paperwork, managing a domestic violence investigator, and serving as the primary prosecutor for domestic violence cases, in addition to prosecuting various other felony and misdemeanor cases and probation violations. I also spent 3 years working as an Assistant Public Defender for the Missouri State Public Defender’s Office, where I served as a trial attorney in the Trial Division.
