About Cyrus ›

Cyrus Whittaker is a California and Nevada–licensed trial attorney and the founder of Whittaker Law Group, a litigation-focused practice representing clients in employment, tenant-rights, personal-injury, and judgment-enforcement matters. Coming from humble beginnings, Mr. Whittaker charted a path of steady determination and personal growth that ultimately led him to the UCLA School of Law and a career representing individuals against powerful institutions. His path from modest origins to practicing law at the highest levels shaped his belief that preparation and perseverance can overcome any imbalance of power—a philosophy that continues to guide his firm’s approach to every case. Before establishing his own firm, Mr. Whittaker honed his courtroom craft at international and boutique trial firms and served as a criminal prosecutor with the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office, where he completed the prestigious Academy of Justice trial-training program and handled numerous jury trials through verdict. Over the course of his career, Mr. Whittaker has tried more than twenty-five jury trials to verdict across both civil and criminal courts and has achieved multiple seven- and eight-figure results through strategic litigation and negotiation. His experience on both sides of the courtroom—defense and plaintiff—gives him uncommon tactical insight and the ability to anticipate and dismantle opposing strategy at every stage of litigation. Mr. Whittaker also served as adjunct professor at the People’s College of Law in 2021–2022, where he co-taught Federal Civil Procedure. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Whittaker worked in business consulting and spent more than fifteen years as a private instructor, teaching mathematics through college-level calculus and preparing students for standardized examinations including the LSAT, ACT, GMAT, SAT, and GRE. This extensive instructional experience honed his ability to distill complex concepts into clear, persuasive communication—
