About Christopher Baker

Chris is an attorney in the Virginia Beach office where he meets with individuals and couples in need of financial help. He is known by his clients as a “friendly and compassionate” attorney who brings comfort and help to those going through difficult times. Since joining Boleman Law in 2015, he has helped thousands of people struggling with overwhelming financial problems. His reputation with his clients has earned him the AVVO Client’s Choice Award in Bankruptcy, and the Martindale-Hubbell Client Champion Platinum award. Chris’s reputation amongst fellow attorneys and judges has earned him a Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent Rating, to be named “Legal Elite” by Virginia Business Magazine, and Best Lawyers "Ones to Watch" for 2021. Chris has been a frequent speaker at local and national bankruptcy seminars. He currently serves on the Board for the Virginia Beach Bar Foundation and as a committee chair with the Virginia Beach Bar Association. Prior to joining Boleman Law, Chris spent more than five years as a prosecutor in Virginia Beach where he won multiple awards for his skills in prosecution. He is a former member of the Filipino-American Law Enforcement Officers Association of Virginia. He also has experience in criminal defense, DUI defense, traffic, and family law. He is the son of a Filipino immigrant and a native of Virginia Beach, VA, where he grew up in the Kempsville area. He has been practicing law in Hampton Roads since 2009. He and his wife are foster and adoptive parents. They actively serve as advocates for foster children and adoption with various organizations.
