📞 (212) 991-8960I’m Christopher Marlborough, and I founded the Marlborough Law Firm to stand up for workers dealing with wage theft. I focus on cases involving issues like unpaid minimum wage and overtime, off-the-clock work, misclassification as independent contractors, and other wage theft violations. I earned my undergraduate degree magna cum laude from the State University of New York at Purchase. Later, I graduated magna cum laude with my juris doctor from Brooklyn Law School. I’ve been practicing law since 2004 and have concentrated on complex class and collective action cases since 2007. Over the years, I’ve been honored by my peers and organizations for my work in employment law and class actions. Some of the awards I’ve received include: * Courageous Counsel Award from the National Employment Lawyers’ Association, NY Chapter (NELA-NY); * Top Lawyers of Long Island in Employment Law by the Long Island Herald; * The Solotoff Award for Professional Achievement in Employment Law from the Nassau County Bar Association (NCBA), Labor and Employment Committee; * SuperLawyers Magazine Rising Star in 2013 and 2014; and * SuperLawyers Magazine, SuperLawyers Award from 2015 to the present. I’ve also served as Chair and Vice Chair of the NCBA Labor and Employment Committee. Currently, I’m a member of the Legislation Committee for NELA-NY and serve on the Advisory Council for Documented-NY, a media organization addressing issues affecting immigrant communities in New York City. Since starting my firm in 2013, I’ve acted as Lead or Co-Lead Counsel in numerous certified class action cases. In 2020, I secured a $7,140,000 settlement for portable toilet service technicians at Call-A-Head and an $11,000,000 settlement for employees of a New York discount store chain. I remain committed to fighting for workers and ensuring they are treated fairly.
