About Caroline Latimer

I am a dedicated criminal defense attorney based in Columbia, South Carolina. I serve clients throughout Richland County and beyond, with a strong commitment to protecting the rights of the accused. My legal practice is focused solely on criminal defense, where I offer strategic and compassionate representation to individuals facing serious charges in South Carolina state courts. My experience spans both civil and criminal law, but I found my true calling in criminal defense. I take pride in guiding my clients through every stage of the legal process, from arrest to resolution. I work tirelessly to build strong defenses that reflect each client’s unique circumstances. Whether I am handling DUI charges, drug offenses, domestic violence, or other criminal matters, I approach every case with meticulous attention to detail and a fierce dedication to justice. I earned my Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2021. I am licensed to practice in all South Carolina state courts and the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina. Additionally, I am an active member of the South Carolina Bar and the South Carolina Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (SCACDL). Outside the courtroom, I enjoy spending time with my spouse, Macey, our dog, Yeti, and our cat, Oscar. As a proud Gamecock, I love supporting USC athletics and exploring the local brewery scene in Columbia.
