๐ (615) 485-0901C. Jay Ingrum founded the Ingrum Law Firm, PLLC in 2023 after practicing for 23 years with his father, Bob Ingrum and his father's longtime law partner, John R. Phillips, Jr. at Phillips & Ingrum since 2000. Previously, Jay worked in public relations, law and insurance. Criminal law, family law/domestic relations, personal injury, probate, juvenile law, and collections are the focuses of his practice. He was BV-rated for Very High Legal Ability and Ethical Standard by Martindale-Hubbell in 2009. Jay became a partner at Phillips & Ingrum on February 1, 2021 and listed as a Rule 31 Family Law Mediator in July 2021. Jay has earned a B.A. degree in Speech Communication from the University of Tennessee, and graduated with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Nashville School of Law in 2000. He was admitted to the bar in Tennessee in 2000. In the legal community, Jay served as Secretary (2009), Treasurer (2010), Vice President (2011) and President (2012) of the Sumner County Bar Association. Jay is a member of the Tennessee Association for Justice and the Tennessee Bar Association. He has also served as a Volunteer and Peer Monitor for the Tennessee Lawyers Assistance Program. Jay Ingrum was one of only thirty-three (33) lawyers statewide to be named to the Tennessee Bar Association's 2016 Leadership Law class. Leadership Law is a 6-month leadership training program in its 13th year that is designed to equip Tennessee lawyers with the vision, knowledge and skills necessary to serve as leaders in their profession and in their local communities. On June 17, 2016, the members of the Tennessee Bar Association's 2016 Leadership Law class voted to award Jay Ingrum with the Tennessee Bar Association's Leadership Law Larry Dean Wilks Leadership Award. The Larry Dean Wilks Leadership Award is given to one member of the Leadership Law class in recognition of exceptional leadership qualities that enhanced the Leadership Law experience for all class members.
