๐ (877) 448-8585Brandon Volk is a trial lawyer licensed in all Florida state and federal courts, with a practice built around one thing: representing people injured onboard vessels, adjacent to vessels, and in connection with vessels. He handles maritime personal injury claims of all kinds โ from cruise ship passengers and longshore workers to commercial crewmembers injured on tugs, barges, offshore vessels, and everything in between. Whether itโs a catastrophic injury or a hard-fought liability case, heโs known for delivering real results when it counts. Mr. Volk earned his law degree from Tulane University Law School, home to the top maritime law program in the country. He graduated with a Certificate of Specialization in Maritime Law and was honored as the top student in Advanced Marine Insurance and Towage & Offshore Services. While at Tulane, he externed for the Honorable Sarah S. Vance of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana โ a federal court known for high-profile admiralty cases. Before co-founding Sher & Volk, P.A., Mr. Volk represented shipowners, marine insurers, tug operators, and cruise lines at top maritime defense firms in Florida and Louisiana. That experience gave him a deep understanding of how the defense works โ and how to beat them at their own game. Mr. Volk then spent years working at several maritime plaintiff's firms, where he developed skills to fight for injury claimants. What makes Mr. Volk stand out isnโt just his maritime knowledge โ itโs how he shows up for his clients. His background, energy, and direct communication style create a rare connection with the people he represents. He doesnโt talk in circles or hide behind legal jargon. He tells it like it is, puts in the work, and fights hard โ because he knows whatโs on the line. When heโs not litigating, Mr. Volk enjoys time with his family and getting outdoors. Heโs an avid golfer, fisherman, hunter, skier, and traveler, with a deep interest in history and global affairs.
