Asking “What is justice?” from age 4 when a starving Ethiopian boy stole an orange out of his hand. Taking on crowds of bullies in his youth, from Carthage to the Golden Triangle to New Mexico. Having explored tightrope walking, fire breathing, playing in a blues band, writing poetry and plays, football, wrestling, boxing, and playing (and still teaching) judo.
